Sanlakas says selective justice targets LP foes
THE MILITANT party-list group Sanlakas scored what it said was selective justice in the cases of legislators and other officials who are being accused of abusing and misuse of Priority Development Assistance Funds (PDAF), more popularly known as pork barrel.
In a statement, Leody de Guzman, Sanlakas first nominee, said the past five years have exposed the use of the Aquino administration of its anticorruption measures and slogans as simply political tools to harass opponents of the ruling Liberal Party.
The slogan “Kung Walang Corrupt, Walang Mahirap” which helped President Aquino rise to power in 2010, according to De Guzman, is turning out to be selective in implementation.
“In 2010, it was a mere electoral stunt to win over voters who were disgusted over the scandal-riddled Arroyo regime,” said De Guzman.
“Since then, it has become simply a propaganda tool to attack the rivals of the ruling LP,” said De Guzman.
“More so, for almost six years, it became a sickening mantra meant to conjure an illusion of anticorruption reforms,” said De Guzman, a labor leader.
