75 years of soaring

As PAL celebrates 75 years, it has again committed to continue conquering new heights by delivering safe, reliable, efficient and pleasant travel experience, all aimed at exceeding passenger expectatio­ns.

Driven to become the five-star, fullservic­e national carrier of the Philippine­s, PAL is a steady source of pride for most Filipinos. In the coming years, PAL yet again promises to exceed its previous accomplish­ments and bring the best of the Philippine­s and its people from the ground and to the sky.

PHILIPPINE AIRLINES was founded by a group of businessme­n led by Andres Soriano, one of the country’s leading industrial­ists. PAL acquired the franchise of Philippine Aerial Taxi Company Inc. which provides mail, cargo and passenger service. Here’s a quick glance at the historical journey of PAL’s many firsts throughout the past seven decades. however, were interrupte­d during WorldWar II, just as the government paved the way for the airline’s nationaliz­ation and just as it began then its flight service to Cebu.
