NEW DELHI—Filipino ace Angelo Que rallied with the best score of the final round—a 7-under-par 65—and came out of nowhere to finish in a tie for fourth place in the $1.66-million Hero Indian Open won by home favorite S.S.P. Chawrasia by two strokes on Saturday.

The 38-year-old Que, a three-time Asian Tour winner, finished with a 12-under total of 276 like Adilson Da Silva of Brazil with both players earning $76,692.

It was the best finish in five tournaments this season for Que, who had earlier rounds of 70-71-70 at Delhi Golf Club. He was ranked 27th overall in the Asian Order of Merit with total earnings of $39,597.

Antonio Lascuña closed with a 71 and wound up in a tie for 31st place at 284. He earned $13,114. Miguel Tabuena, who is running second in the Asian OOMladder, had a 74 for 289 and picked up $4,482.

Que, nine shots behind Chawrasia after three rounds, picked up two birdies on the front nine, then caught fire coming home with five birdies on a seven-hole span. He was running second until South Korean Wang Jeunghun and India’s Anirban Lahiri overtook the Filipino with respective rounds of 68 and 69 in the latter flights to finish at 13-under 275.

Chawrasia, the overnight leader by two over Terry Pilkadiris of Australia, needed only a 71 to clinch the title with a 15-under 273 total. He had earlier rounds of 67-67-68 in bagging the top prize of $276,660.
