Brodett rules Manila Southwoods seniors golf

BUTCH Brodett carded 41 Stableford points then edged Mentz Deguito in the countback to snare the Class A crown while Rolly Sacramento took the Class B diadem in the Manila Southwoods’ Seniors Trimester Birthday Bash golf tournament recently.

Brodett nailed another title in the premier division of the first of three tournaments of the annual event for golfing seniors backed by holein-one sponsored BMG Solar and year-round sponsor San Miguel Purefoods.

Sacramento, on the other hand, scored 42 points and nipped Jun Belicena by one for the Class B plum while Rod Pepito churned out a 44- point output and likewise defeated Jose De Leon in the countback to clinch the Class C title in the event supported by Anako Philippines Corp., Red Eagle Lending Investors, Romago, Brainmaster for Senior Moments, Megafiber Psyllium Fiber, Goutritis Herbal Supplement and Cran UTI.

Meanwhile, Ramon Gonzalez and Jojo Lee took the nearest-to-the-pin honors (9ft-5 inches, No. 17) and (3 feet, No. 5), respectively, while Willy Princesa bagged the nearest-the-line (1 inch) award in the tournament backed by hole sponsors Warbird Security and Investigation Agency, Forest Hills Golf and Country Club, Le Chef, Rudy Project Phils. and Camp John Hay Golf Club.
