LPU elects new board member
LYCEUM of the Philippines University (LPU) Manila, Makati, and Cavite campuses recently elected Integrated Micro-electronics Inc. (IMI) president and chief executive officer Arthur Tan to its board of trustees. As head of one of the leading global providers of electronics manufacturing services and power semiconductor assembly and test services, with manufacturing facilities in Asia, Europe and North America, Tan concurrently holds the positions of president and board chair of PSI Technologies, president and CEO of Speedy-Tech Electronics Ltd., senior managing director of Ayala Corp., vice chair of Ayala Automotive Holdings Corp. and board member of Renewable Energy Test Center (RETC). He is also a member of the board of trustees of the Semiconductor Electronics Industries in the Philippines Inc. (SEIPI) and Philippine Development Foundation. Prior to joining IMI, Tan was the managing director for Asia-Pacific and Japan Regional Headquarters of American Microsystems Inc. in Massachusetts. Tan obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Mapua Institute of Technology where he was honored as Outstanding Alumnus in 2003, and as one of the Ten Outstanding Mapuans (for Information Technology) in 2004. He has also taken post graduate programs at the University of Idaho, Singapore Institute of Management, and Harvard Business School.
