Important lighting designers among those featured in Steltz The Gallery’s annual sale
NOW IS the best time to buy an investment piece for your home as Steltz The Gallery holds its muchawaited annual sale starting on June 1, 2016. New items designed by iconic names in the industry such as Jasper Morrisson, Michael Anastassiades, and Konstantin Grcic among others, selected pieces exclusively available at the store will be offered at half the price.
Lighting fixtures culled from various collections of Cyprus-born designer Anastassiades are some of the things to look out for. These include Captain Flint, a dual-purpose freestanding luminaire that can be used as a companion for reading or ambient uplighting for spaces; Extra, a magical interpretation of elegance in its purest form designed with reflective material to create mystery and depth; and Copycat a deceivingly sophisticated piece made of two touching spheres that hold each other up in a delicate and poetic balance.
Jasper Morisson’s award-winning Superloon floor lamp will also be part of the sale. Inspired by the moon, this floor lamp rotates 360 degrees around its own axis and features adjustable light intensity and color temperature, guided by an optical sensor on the tripod. The Superloon is both classic and elegant, available in various finishes.
Also timeless and perfect for any interior is Taccia and Taccia Small lamp by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni. The original design, made of plastic, first came out in 1958 and was later produced in 1962 by Flos with its famous blown glass bowl. Aside from the classic version, the lamp is also available in a ‘mini’ form with new colors, glass diffusor and LED option.
