One big runway for #IAmSMWoman

- Maurice Arcache

YOU should have seen it, palangga, when SM Makati’s third floor was transformed into one big runway as it launched its #IAmSMWoman campaign.

Focusing on the four characteristics that make up today’s modern women—exceptional, driven, strong and confident—the campaign showcased for three days SM Woman’s comprehensive mix of fashion-forward and minimalist pieces.

Each of the three days highlighted a different theme.

The first day, trendy and stylish clothes for the adventurous youth took center stage as events and TV show host

Janeena Chan and student athlete Gabi Darza led fresh-faced models down the catwalk. The second day—which focused on sophisticated and functional pieces for careerdriven women—had fashion entrepreneur Amina Aranaz-Alunan and model-host Teresa Herrera-Anthony walking the runway.

The third day stressed SM Woman’s commitment to diversity with a variety of empowering, classy clothes for women of substance as worn by celebrity host and editor in chief Sarah Meier.

Also featured were pieces complementing the beautiful curves of women like actresscomedian Cai Cortez and style icon-model

Andrea Aldeguer— who led models of various shapes and sizes down the ramp.

Other personalities present at the event included GMA 7 artist Thea Tolentino, modelbeauty queen April Tanhueco, TV actress

Helga Krapf, former PBB housemate Say Alonzo, actress Ara Mina, actor Gab de Leon, travel blogger Camie Juan and event

host Issa Litton.

Penshoppe Denimlab 2016

Meanwhile, dahlings, Penshoppe took its hot new denim designs to the stage at the recent Penshoppe Denimlab 2016 fashion show at the TriNoma activity center.

Hosted by radio DJ Joyce Pring, the event, which featured K-pop star Sandara Park as special guest, drew a large crowd.

Opening the show was indie band Fools and Foes, après which DJ Jess Milner continued the music with her playlist.

One of the event’s highlights was the new campaign for one of Penshoppe’s most popular scents, Denim Love—which held a SniffOff Challenge.

The crowd could barely contain its cheers and whistles as two lucky female contestants were challenged to have a whiff of the Denim Love fragrance from the bodies of two goodlooking hunk models.

Two more contestants also had the chance to smell the fragrance on the models, one of whom was Moala Tautuaa, the hot rookie in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) and current member of Team Gilas.

As the show drew to a close, Penshoppe brand director Jeff Bascon thanked everyone for the support. And then the crowd went wild when Park was called in to say hello.

Check out the new Penshoppe Denimlab 2016 collection available at all stores nationwide.
