Manila Doctors inaugurate­s new medical tower in celebratio­n of its 60th anniversar­y

Manila Doctors Hospital recently opened its new medical tower Norberto Ty Medical Tower II, which is an 18-storey building that will house a cancer center, additional doctor's clinics, and increase the hospital's bed capacity to 500 beds.

As part of the redevelopm­ent plan of the Manila Doctors, the Norberto Ty Medical Tower II, located on Kalaw Street in Manila City, features hotel-like lobby, amenities, and patient rooms with views of Rizal Park and Manila's sunset.

The new medical tower's inaugurati­on was held on December 8 at the building's lobby. The ribbon cutting ceremony was led by former President and now Manila mayor Joseph Estrada and Metrobank Group Chairman Dr. George S.K. Ty.

The occasion also marked Manila Doctor's 60th anniversar­y.

According to Dr. Terrence Cham, deputy administra­tive director at Manila Doctors, the new cancer center will be a multidisci­plinary center and will offer the full-range of services, which include radiation therapy.

Apart from a modern cancer center, the Norberto Ty Medical Tower II will also house a number of additional medical and diagnostic ser- vices including linear accelerato­r, brachyther­apy, vascular clinic.

Some services of the hospital will also be relocated in the new tower and they include industrial medical services department and executive health check up service.

According to Dr. Dante Morales, Manila Doctors SVP for medical affairs , the new medical tower signifies Manila Doctors commitment to provide patients with the best medical service at affordable rates.
