NEW YEAR PHOTOGRAPHY COURSES FOR BEGINNERS & PROFESSIONALS

For the new year the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF) resumes its role as photography educator in the country.

For many years now FPPF is offering basic photo course for beginners and special courses for professionals at the historic Fort Santiago in Intramuros, Manila.

There are two types of photographers, amateur and professional. An amateur photographer is one who practices photography as a hobby/passion and not for profit. A professional or commercial photographer is paid for images taken rather than works of art.

Many graduates of basic photo course show their acquired skill shooting family affairs as well as for friends. Some enhance their worthwhile hobby by joining photo contests winning prizes while others join camera clubs for camaraderie and make way to further their knowledge.

The commercial photographic world includes advertising, fashion and glamour, crime scene, still life, food, editorial, portrait and wedding, landscape, wild life, paparazzi/photojournalism, and pet photography.

For beginners there is a lesson plan that will share them to acquire the basic skills to operate a camera and take good photos in 5 days or 40 hours. For corporate employees, there is a shorter time to teach how to operate the camera and come upwith nicely composed pictures.

For professional photographers there are special courses for them to improve their knowledge and be more competitive in their profession.

FPPF has trained and dedicated photo staff who will share their knowledge and expertise in photography.

Participants can choose whether on weekdays or weekends.

The 5-Saturday basic photography seminar will start on Jan. 16.

The next advanced photography course will be on Feb. 25.

FPPF also offers one-Saturday seminar on Lightroom on Feb. 25 and Strobist on Feb. 18 and Wedding photography on March 13-16.
