The province of Cavite played quite a significant role in Philippine history. This is where the bloody battle between the Spanish colonizers and Filipino revolutionaries led by the first Philippine President, Emilio Aguinaldo happened. Cavite, particularly in Kawit, was als where Philippine independence was declared on June 12, 1898.

As such, Cavite is rich with historical attractions. Recently though, Cavite is treading on a different path as it has been attracting investors by the droves due to its strategic location, approved development plans, rich human resource, 41 industrial zones and major infrastructure developments, thus making it an ideal location for many businesses.

Considered by many as the bedroom of Metro Manila, Cavite has recently attracted many national developers to set up projects in the area. But way ahead of the game is trust- ed developer Sta. Lucia Land Inc., who has long seen the potential of the area.

“We entered Cavite in 1998 and our first project there was Meadowood Executive Village. Luckily, people welcomed our development with much enthusiasm and this, in a way, is what inspired us to continue creating developments that are of high quality and one that makes for a really good investment,” said SLLI President Exequiel Robles.

“Since our first venture, we never stopped developing projects which we believe would greatly address the needs of the market. In Cavite, we have brought quite a number of innovations especially with the our golf courses and other unique projects,” he added.

Sta. Lucia has a number of existing developments in Cavite which include the Orchard Residential Estate Golf and Country Club; Eagle Ridge; Metropolis; Rio de Oro; Sugarland Estates; Saddle & Clubs; Athena Classica; St. Charbel; and Greenmeadows at the Orchard.

“While we consider all our developments to be truly special, the ones in Cavite are in a way different. We consider this market truly special and we try in every way possible to deliver what they want and need,” Robles said.

SLLI covers more than 2,000 hectares of land in Cavite, making the province its second largest home next to Rizal in South Luzon.

“The people of Cavite and its neighboring cities have given us their trust thus we cannot afford to fail them. This is why in everything that we do, we make sure that we do it without taking any shortcuts, meaning we really put our hearts into it,” Robles concluded.

Future projects include Aquamira in Saddle & Clubs; The Lake at St. Charbel; and Mesilo among others.
