WELCOMING THE YEAR 2017 IN STYLE

- By Theresa S. Samaniego @teksamaniegoINQ

It was definitely a memorable night of revelry, reunions, and traditions. For most property developers, welcoming the new year was a cause for a lively celebration and thanksgiving, as they gathered officials, partners, stakeholders, and customers for a fun-filled night of merrymaking and colorful festivities.

Some chose to celebrate as early as December 30 while others opted to end the year with a traditional countdown on December 31, with great music, festive performances and non-stop partying.

From a dinner-dance thanksgiving party that ended with a spectacular fireworks display to mesmerizing lights that left many in awe, developers have outdone themselves, leaving nothing but happy memories for its satisfied homeowners and guests.

Developers have indeed gone beyond the mere business of providing homes to providing a better quality of life and an enhanced living experience, by holding such activities for the communities they’ve built.

To give you a glimpse of what had transpired during such festivities, here is a quick rundown of how these local developers made New Year’s Eve a night their residents and guests would truly remember. Guests staying at Aruga, the serviced residence arm of Rockwell Land Corp., found the perfect second home during the Christmas holiday.

Not only were they able to experience the famed Rockwell lifestyle, but guests were also treated to an array of month-long activities that the upscale developer had prepared.

Rockwell’s Power Plant Mall gave Aruga guests the venue to capture those picture-perfect moments through its Christmas corners like Santa’s Workshop at the South Court. Also held were activities that made the season even more special, including the Holiday Gift Fair.

Kids, meanwhile, surely had a blast during the holidays with the help of Santa and his elves. Santa even surprised a few kids with their wishes, which they dropped at the Wishing Station.

And of course, Rockwell Land had two Land Rover Discover Sport S cars raffled off for its loyal shoppers, with the first draw held last December 25 while the second draw will be held on February 1.

Another treat that guests at the Aruga awaited with much anticipation—and which surely did not disappoint—was the annual Rockwell fireworks tradition. The skies lit up anew during the eve of Christmas and New Year, as Rockwell’s stunning display of fireworks brightened the Makati skyline, leaving guests amazed and feeling hopeful for the year ahead.

Last holiday season, Nuvali transformed into a first-of-itskind holiday destination with the launch of “Magical Field of Lights,” the first lights and sounds show in Ayala Land’s largest sustainable estate.

Set to run until January 8, Nuvali’s grass fields lit up like an enchanted field of tulips dancing to two five-minute medleys. The field was made up of 5,000 pieces of LED lights.

Aside from the show, the field also featured a variety of attractions such as the 50-meter long light tunnel, Christmas trees, and dandelion light installation. With the help of Estate Water, Qualimed Hospital, Amaia Steps Parkway, Ayala Malls Solenad and Nestle Kitkat, Nuvali indeed brought to life a spectacular show for its residents, employees, and visitors.
