Every structure serves a different, specific purpose. It also comes in different forms, shapes, and sizes, designs, motiffs, and architectural styles—as each would cater largely to the need on hand, be it for a more urgent need as housing to an investor-driven requirement such as offices, industrial estates, and commercial lots.

Some had been built specifically to serve as a platform to entertain and amuse, and hence, you have the sprawling parks; malls, retail outlets and dining establishments that have sprouted in every corner of the metro; hotels that offer a quick respite from the city frenzy; and even theme parks and resorts that seek to bring out the child in you.

One of the more popular theme parks that has become close to the heart of many Filipinos would be the Disneyland Resort in Hong Kong, a world-class family entertainment destination spanning across some 126 hectares on Lantau Island.

Inspired by the original Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, Hong Kong Disneyland also promises a funfilled, “magical” time at the park with its seven immersive themed areas to explore including Adventureland; Fantasyland; Grizzly Gulch; Main Street, U.S.A.; Mystic Point; Tomorrowland; and Toy Story Land—all of which have been designed to inspire one’s imagination.

Making one’s stay at Disneyland all the more exciting are the two luxurious hotels namely the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, a lavish Victorian palace that offers exquisite dining from around the globe, a cocktail poolside and garden maze in the shape of Mickey Mouse; and the richly appointed Disney’s Hollywood Hotel that boasts of “Art-Deco architecture with a dash of Disney magic.”

Next week, a new attraction will be unveiled: Disney Park’s first Marvelthemed ride called the Iron Man Experience.

According to Hong Kong Disneyland, you can start putting on that pair of StarkVision glasses to explore Tony Stark’s latest innovations up close, and fly in the gravity-defying Iron Wing flight vehicle in the Iron Man Experience.

Whizz alongside Iron Man through streets that resemble those in West Kowloon and downtown, and fly over iconic Hong Kong landmarks like Hong Kong Stark Tower, Tsing Ma Bridge, Victoria Harbour and the city’s pristine mountain ranges.

Guests staying at any of the resort’s two hotels starting December 23 have been given a Priority Admission Pass to the Iron Man Experience, prior to its official launch next week.

Don’t miss out on this once-in-alifetime opportunity to meet Iron Man himself at the Iron Man Showcase presented by Stark Industries. You can even take home fond memories of this encounter by visiting the Expo Shop and selecting from a wide range of Hong Kong Disneyland exclusive Iron Man merchandise and more than 250 items of Marvel-themed memorabilia.
