T.I.P. bags Anvil Award for hosting the JobStreet.com – T.I.P. Career Center 1st Philippine Engineering Students Congress
The success of the 1st Philippine Engineering Students Congress recently earned the Technological Institute of the Philippines (T.I.P.) a Silver Anvil from the Public Relations Society of the Philippines in the category Public Relations Tools: Exhibits and Special Events Conferences/Conventions during the 52nd Anvil Awards.
The Silver Anvil Award cited T.I.P. for mounting one of the biggest events of its kind that empowers graduating students with better competitive edge in career opportunities.
Bannering the theme “The Road to Building Global Engineers,” the 1st Philippine Engineering Students Congress was held at the T.I.P. Quezon City campus in March 2016 through the partnership between JobStreet.com and the T.I.P. Career Center. The event successfully gathered more than 1,000 top engineering students from various colleges and universities in the country with the goal of helping them explore different career prospects available in local and regional industries, and inspiring them to be more globally competitive.
In the congress program, invited industry experts and engineers shared their experiences and insights with the student attendees to guide them on the path towards becoming productive professionals.
Student attendees and also had the chance to interact with representatives from some of the country’s top corporations through a day- long career fair held alongside the congress.
Following the great success of last year’s congress, this year, JobStreet.com and the T.I.P. Career Center once again partnered to gather over a thousand top engineering students from various colleges and universities in Luzon for the 2nd Philippine Engineering Students Congress held in T.I.P. Quezon City once again. This year’s congress carried the theme: “Better engineers for a better Philippines.”
