19 children dead as bus catches fire after collision

JOHANNESBURG— At least 19 children were killed in a bus crash outside the South African capital Pretoria on Friday, emergency services said, after many were trapped inside the burning vehicle. The bus collided with a truck on a road between the towns of Bronkhorstspruit and Verena, about 70 km from Pretoria. Russel Meiring, emergency medical service spokesperson, said the bus driver was the 20th fatality.
