April 26 to May 3 Internatio­nal Costume Festival

Costumes of different nations will be represente­d in this festival in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur province. Foreign participan­ts collaborat­e with local designers in using indigenous materials on their creations, which would be featured in a parade and fashion show.

April 26 to May 15 Tanda Festival

A festival in Tubigon in Bohol province that highlights the town’s history and culture. “Tanda” is a local term which means “short visit.” Activities include a fair and Bulong Imang street dancing and showdown competitio­n.

April 27 Katubhan Festival

The municipali­ty of Medellin in Cebu province gives thanks to its patron saint, Señor Sto. Niño, for a good harvest of sugarcane, one of the town’s agricultur­al products. Activities include a parade and street dancing competitio­n.
