DR. VICKI BELO’S SEAL OF APPROVAL

-

An early adopter to technology, Dr. Vicki Belo, founder of the Belo Medical Group, is famous for getting first crack in state- of- the- art medical aesthetic equipment. It’s known in her field that Belo’s acquisition is synonymous with the “seal of approval.”

Her relationship with the owners goes back to over 20 years ago when she met Cherryl Glazer in another company.

“She was very efficient and she answered my inquiries at once,” said Belo in an e-mail interview.

When Cherryl jump-started SpectruMed as the country’s premier distributor of medical lasers, Belo said she felt assured that she would be in good hands.

“This is one of the reasons I would be the first to buy its machines,” said the celebrity doctor.

In 2002, Belo was the first to purchase Intense Pulsed Light, one of the early technologies for laser skin rejuvenation. The Belo Medical Group has since been the vanguard in current technology for facial and body contouring. As SpectruMed introduced the skin-tightening treatment, Thermage; the lifting procedure Ulthera; and the skin-perfecting Fraxel, Revlite and Picosure, Belo quickly spread her mantra: “Changing Filipino lives, one face at a time.”

She commended the company for its solicitous customer care.

“What makes SpectruMed stand out is the relationship it fosters with its clients. When I do my R&D (research and development) and see a good product abroad, it would be able to get them to the Philippines,” she said.

“We’ve helped each other grow,” said Belo. “Since we’re usually the first to buy its machines, people hear about SpectruMed’s products usually through us.”
