Asean food and beverage trade fair in Thailand
The Thaifex-World of Food Asia 2017 will be held on May 31-June 4 at Impact Exhibition and Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand. Visitors can expect a congregation of at least 45,000 industry professionals and 2,000 exhibitors and representatives from over 40 countries across the fiveday event.
Thaifex-World of Food Asia is the leading annual international trade exhibition for food and beverages, food technology, retail and franchise in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean).
It features latest food-producing technologies, food safety standards, related businesses and services, as well as a culinary experience.
Leveraging Thailand’s position as a hub for regional connectivity, Thaifex also serves as a strategic access point for businesses around the region, especially with the establishment of the Asean Economic Community (AEC). Since Thailand is located in the heart of the AEC, visitors and exhibitors can expect exclusive exposure to a unified economy which enables the easy flow of goods and services across borders.
“We are excited to introduce new and exclusive features at this year’s edition of Thaifex,” says Mathias Kuepper, managing director of Koelnmesse, organizer of Thaifex-World of Food Asia 2017. “With an additional 13,500 sq mof event space, we expect not just a growth in participant and exhibitor numbers, but also visitors of varied profiles and nationalities.”
At the same time, Asean’s leading food and beverage trade fair also provides access to the best of what host country Thailand has to offer.
“Thaifex is an excellent platform to effectively boost Thailand’s food industry growth in Asia as well as global markets as the ‘Kitchen of the World,’” adds Supapat Ongsangkoon, deputy directorgeneral of the Department of International Trade Promotion.
Visitors will have access to three exclusive conferences: World of Food Safety Conference (ensuring and maintaining food safety in Asia and around the world); Asian Food Franchising Forum (trademark pitfalls and vulnerabilities relating to food franchising industry); and IFU SGF Juice Workshop (future trends like safety, quality, sustainability and new analytical methods in the vegetable and fruit juice industry).
