MORE REASONS TO LOVE SM CITY LIPA
Among them: a new Annex and North Carpark building
Lipa City stands on a scenic valley between the mountains of Malarayat and Maculot. Located at the center of Batangas province, it is a major religious center and an agricultural city known for its coffee.
With the presence of industrial estates, it is emerging as one of Southern Luzon’s most important economic and institutional centers.
Just as Lipa gracefully rests between two mountains, it is here that rustic beauty and cultural traditions wonderfully blend with modern living. And it was here that SM opened a 77,682-square meter supermall on a 10-hecatere site at JP Laurel Highway in September 2006.
Since that time, Lipeños have grown to love SM’s shopping, leisure and entertainment excitement. The mall has expanded to include an Annex building and a North Carpark building to serve its shoppers better.
The six-level 34,926-sq m Annex building opened in 2014, creating an iconic identity with colorful orange, white and red stripes running vertically through its façade. It is here that modern design and architecture merge, with its cove ceiling, LED lights and scenic elevator.
World-class retail
The first two levels of the Annex showcase world class retail. These include global brands like Uniqlo, Guess and Guess Kids, Payless, Oakley, Sperry, Skechers and Adidas. It is also here that one can find the newly renovated SM Store that merges great retail with great design, with its origami-inspired features, as well as the Cyberzone, which brings in ultimate technology and lifestyle.
Lipeños can choose from a wide range of eating options at the Annex, from global brands like Bon Chon, Krispy Kreme, Pepper Lunch, Gong Cha, Domino’s Pizza and Shakey’s, to well-loved homegrown restaurants like Taza Mia and Allegra’s Kitchen. Foodies will also love specialty restos like Mesa Moderne Cuisine, Evolution Coffee Roasters, Cabalen, Kuya J’s and Clyde’s Bread.
The third level of the Annex houses a business process outsourcing office and the fourth to fifth levels are carpark areas with slots for 417 cars and 206 motorcycles.
SM City Lipa opened its North Carpark building in March 2016, to make shopping more convenient for its customers. The four-story building is surrounded by natural greenery and is connected directly to the main mall. It can house 783 four-wheeled vehicles and 26 motorcycles. Like the parking area in the Annex, it is equipped with the latest technology using automatic lighting sensors as park finders.
Now, these are certainly more reasons to love SM City Lipa.
