Everyone has more reason to celebrate Independen­ce Day this year, as it gives everyone a much-awaited three-day weekend—time for a last summer road trip before the start of the school year and the rainy season.

Petron Lakbay Alalay, the country’s longest-running motorist assistance program, is once again offering activities and services on June 10 and 11 at major expressway stations. Lucky Petron customers will have the opportunit­y to have their photos taken with several Miss Universe 2016 beauty queens, whowill serve as Petron Road Safety Ambassador­s. These include Miss Belize Rebecca Rath, Miss Vietnam Dang Thi Le Hang, and Miss Kosovo Camille Barraza. They will be at the Petron station PEC1 NLEX- Northbound (Marilao, Bulacan), and at the PEC2 NLEX-Southbound (Bocaue, Bulacan) to take the lead in conducting road safety games.

Other station activation­s include free safety check in cooperatio­n with Chevrolet Philip- pines and Honda Cars Philippine­s, as well as free medical assistance with the Philippine Red Cross. These are scheduled on Saturday, June 10, at PEC1 NLEXNorthb­ound (Marilao, Bulacan), and PEC3 SLEX-Southbound (San Pedro, Laguna), and on Sunday, June 11, at PEC2 NLEXSouthb­ound (Bocaue, Bulacan).
