TELETECH RECEIVES PHILIPPINE ECONOMIC ZONE AUTHORITY’S OUTSTANDING COMMUNITY PROJECT AWARD
Company Recognized for Contributions to Education-Focused Programs in the Region
TeleTech Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTEC), a leading global provider of customer experience, engagement, and growth solutions delivered through a proprietary, end-to-end Customer Engagement as a Service offering, was recently honored with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) 2017 Outstanding Community Project Award in recognition of its contributions in uplifting the education landscape in the Philippines through TeleTech Community Foundation (TTCF) and Project Share.
PEZA’s Outstanding Community Project Award is given to a locator or developer that has strengthened its relationship with the community through meaningful CSR projects like scholarship programs, free medical and dental services, tree planting, gift giving, or similar pro-community projects. In 2016, TeleTech Community Foundation and Project Share impacted local communities across the Philippines through meaningful projects such as scholarship programs, free medical and dental services, tree planting, gift giving, sports clinics, and talent workshops.
TeleTech’s annual employee fun run entitled Run in Sync and last year’s corporate social responsibility effort, Hope in a Red Backpack, generated massive employee participation with 3,107 employees signing up for the events and raising over Php300,000.00 in funds. The funds were used to purchase school supplies and red backpacks which were donated to local grade schools across the Philippines.
“TeleTech works with clients every day to bring humanity to the customer experience. Extending that care and connection to the communities in which we serve through the TeleTech Community Foundation helps keep us true to our company values to lead every day and do the right thing,” said Michael Wellman, Chief People Officer, TeleTech. “Through TTCF, we are proud to partner with and contribute to organizations who ensure that students in underserved communities around the world have access to the tools and support they need grow and thrive.”
