QUALIMED TO OPEN 102-BED GENERAL HOSPITAL AT NUVALI

-

July 21, 2017 — QualiMed marked the inauguration of its newest facility in Southern Luzon as it continues to grow its roster of hospitals and clinics in the country. The eleventh facility under the health network, QualiMed Hospital - Sta. Rosa is a 102-bed general hospital offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient healthcare services aimed at providing holistic wellness and healing to patients.

QualiMed is a network of healthcare facilities owned and operated by Mercado General Hospital, Inc. (MGHI) in partnership with Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI). With Alagang Abot-Kaya as brand promise, QualiMed healthcare facilities are intended to cater to the needs of the general public and makes its services more accessible to the broad C socioeconomic class. Guided by its vision of leading the way towards a healthy Philippines, the health network is committed to fulfilling its mission to deliver 3As: Appropriate, Accessible, and Affordable healthcare to all the communities it serves.

Located in ALI’s flourishing eco-city development in Laguna, Nuvali, QualiMed Hospital - Sta. Rosa is an integral health service facility in the mixed-use estate.

“Our estates are planned and continuously enhanced with diverse developments that address the different needs of the market, and health care is an important aspect that QualiMed has effectively delivered in our estates in Iloilo, Bulacan, and within our commercial developments,” said ALI President and CEO Bernard Vincent Dy.

“The opening of QualiMed Hospital in Nuvali reiterates our commitment to make affordable, high-quality healthcare available in our developments. With this addition to the estate, Nuvali would become a more attractive place for people to build their homes, businesses or spend time to enjoy the various recreational activities,” he added.

According to Dr. Edwin Mercado, president and CEO of the QualiMed Health Network, QualiMed Hospital - Sta. Rosa will actively promote a healthy lifestyle and focus on preventive care through its facilities.

“It's a tall order for us to change the traditional way Filipinos view healthcare: that we should consult with doctors only when we are sick. QualiMed advocates a more holistic approach to healthcare. We promote primary, preventive, and promotive care, wherein the communities should be more proactive in staying strong and well. One should not take care of his or her health only when one is already too weak to even see a doctor,” he shares.

The establishment of QualiMed Hospital in Sta. Rosa, Laguna, is a leap forward in expanding QualiMed’s reach in the south of Luzon. With the Calabarzon region having an expansive pool of specialized local doctors and paramedical professionals, the hospital commits to providing healthcare services that will feel like home.”

“Having formed a local medical team that is fully embedded in the community is a big plus in terms of the kind of genuine Filipino care that we will provide in CALABARZON,” says Atty. Nirmala Vanguardia, chief operating officer of QualiMed Hospital - Sta. Rosa.

Unique to QualiMed Hospital - Sta. Rosa is the establishment of the QualiMed Training and Research Center (QTRC), which puts a premium on the continuous education and advanced training of Filipino healthcare teams.

“We owe it to our patients to provide them the best care and outcomes possible. Around the world, healthcare systems, technologies, and best practices are continually evolving and advancing. QualiMed hopes to bridge this knowledge and technology transfer, from around the world to the Philippines, by providing comprehensive and industry-approved medical and technical training activities to our doctors and medical personnel,” adds Dr. Albert Tiotuyco, director of QTRC.

QualiMed Hospital in Sta. Rosa will provide inpatient services that include admission in wards, semiprivate, or private rooms, and intensive care facilities for adult and neonatal patients. The Operating Room and Pharmacy will be available for both outpatient and inpatient services. Outpatient healthcare will include a full complement of diagnostic equipment covering Radiology (1.5 Tesla MRI, 128-slicer CT Scan, Digital Radiology, and General and OB Ultrasound); Comprehensive Laboratory (Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Microscopy, Drug Testing, Hematology, Histopathology, Immunology-Serology, and Microbiology); Cardiovascular (2D Echo, Electrocardiogram [ECG], Holter Monitor, Treadmill Stress Test, and Peripheral Vascular Analysis); Pulmonary; multispecialty Outpatient Clinics; Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation; Dialysis and Intravenous Chemotherapy Center; Emergency Room; Surgical and Minimally Invasive surgery; Eye Diagnostic and Laser Center; and Industrial And Occupational Healthcare services.
