GREENFIELD BRINGS FAMED WEEKEND MARKET TO LAGUNA
Urbanites have come to know Greenfield District in Mandaluyong City as the hottest destination for unique food finds and al fresco activities, thanks to the famed Greenfield Weekend Market.
Now, suburban dwellers south of Metro Manila have a chance to experience this vibrant market scene as Greenfield Development Corporation brings the sought-after event to their 400-ha masterplanned township Greenfield City in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
Dubbed the Greenfield City Weekend Market, it is seen to change the way southerners spend leisure time with their family and friends, according to lawyer Duane A.X. Santos, Greenfield executive vice president and general manager.
“The nature-rich environ- ment of Greenfield City will take our weekend market experience to the next level,” Santos explains.
One of a kind
Visitors can expect the same exciting mix of one-ofa-kind food and retail tenants, but now in a more spacious and airy outdoor venue. The main thoroughfare of Laguna Boulevard in Greenfield City will be closed off to create a street market feel, where sidewalks will be lined with tents and seating areas for patrons.
“In a nod to Greenfield City’s southern location, we will especially showcase what Laguna is known for in the tenant mix,” Santos adds. These will include the province’s best and most unique finds from its culturerich cities and municipalities, like specialty delicacies, handcrafted footwear, embroidered apparel and textile, wood carvings, decorative plants.
Other booths and activities will include special interests such as pets, vintage flea market finds, and soon, fortunetelling.
Greenfield City is Greenfield Development Corpora- tion’s pioneering community that jumpstarted growth in Sta. Rosa, Laguna as early as the late 1990s.
