SM Hypermarket Street Food Festival’s Tasty Comeback
2016’s most delicious street food festival comes back harder with more treats, more amazing discounts, more promo packs, bigger prizes, and more celebrity guests! The grand launch of the SM Hypermarket Street Food Festival was held at the SM Mall of Asia Last August 23, 2017 and it was made even more exciting with the appearance of Kita Kita star, Empoy Marquez.
What was once a typical events area was suddenly overflowing with food that can make anyone ooh and aah! From kwek-kwek, turon with langka, on-stick inihaw sensations, and Ilocos empanada to takoyaki, shawarma, deep dish pizza, lechon sisig, crablets, and bagnet, the place was suddenly buzzing with people eager to trade their money to heavenly bites. And since it’s street food; deliciously cheap yet filling, everything suddenly seemed like they’re all-you-can-eat. The event definitely proved that no matter how many restaurants or fancy recipe sprout, Pinoys will always find their way home to street food.
The event had over 50 stalls featuring top brands found in every home’s kitchen, endless food-tastings, fun games, exciting activities, and all the street food you can think of. Everyone had a chance of bringing home SM Hypermarket Street Food Festival merchandise by visiting all the booths and completing their free stamp cards. The event was capped by a live acoustic band who serenaded the audience as they enjoyed tons of sweet shopping deals and digging through mounds of delicious street food.
The SM Hypermarket Street Food Festival is the collaboration of the Philippine’s top brands like Unilever, Nestle, San Miguel, CDO, Alaska, Century, Del Monte, Bounty Fresh, Farm Fresh, P&G, Delimondo, Mama Sita’s, Selecta Ice Cream, Federated, Arcy, Madison, Sysu, Sunnywood, Sanicare, and Lamoiyan to bring together the flavors everyone is craving for; favorite ingredients, kitchen must-haves, and wide varieties of popular street food led by SM Eats. The event also features cooking demos by renowned chefs, fun games with exciting prizes, and very special guest appearances.
The deliciousness continues to four more SM Supermalls; SM City Clark on September 1-3 with Kita Kita star Alessandra De Rossi, SM Center Muntinlupa on September 15-17, SM City Fairview on October 6-8, including the delectable must-taste grand finale on October 20 at SM Mall of Asia.
