MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Tetra Pak, the world’s leading food processing and packaging solutions company, recently held the first ever Tetra Pak Innovation Seminar in the Philippines with the theme, ‘Unpacking the Millennial Mindset.’ Over 100 delegates from key players in the Philippine food and beverage industry, as well as companies from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand attended the seminar. The seminar featured speakers from Tetra Pak, and industry experts who shared consumer trends and insights on how to effectively engage the most influential consumer group today - the Millennials. Tetra Pak also presented its 2017 Tetra Pak Index, an annual study which provides insights into the global trends and opportunities in shaping the future of the food and beverage industry. Themed around ‘The Connected Consumer’, this year’s study explores the world of digital and online consumers, how they are connecting with F&B brands globally, and how it impacts buying decision behaviors. Additionally, Jeff Fromm, noted US-based speaker & author of Marketing to Millennials, shared key points on how Millennials fuel change in the food and beverage category and how brands can win Millennial consumers. As Millennials come of age and become the next set of power spenders, Tetra Pak encourages tapping these consumers who have grown up in a digital age where smartphones and online shopping are the norm. To help F&B brands attract and connect with these Connected Consumers, Tetra Pak is piloting the use of new digital technologies like augmented reality and custom printing in its packages. Looking ahead, packaging innovation can help brands bridge the online and offline experience with consumers.
