GIVE YOUR KID A CAR SEAT FOR CHRISTMAS

- —JULIE M. AURELIO INQ

Wondering what to get your toddler this Christmas? Consider buying the child car seat.

A health advocacy group urged parents to purchase child car seats for their children as Christmas presents, stressing that it would be one of the best gifts they could give.

New Vois Association of the Philippines (NVAP) road safety project manager Einstein Rojas pointed out that ensuring their children’s safety from road crash injuries was a more valuable gift.

“Nothing is more valuable than life. Keeping them safe, especially from highly avoidable road crash injuries, [it] will be a good thing to focus on with the Christmas holidays,” he said.

The NVAP cited data from the Philippine Statistics Authority which showed that an average of 671 children up to 14 years old died annually from road crashes.
