Shopee celebrates another year of growth with around 80 million downloads across the region

MANILA, PHILIPPINE­S, 28 NOV 2017 - Shopee, the leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan, marks the year end celebratio­n with significan­t growth in its seven markets. Across the region, Shopee has achieved an annualised Gross Merchandis­e Value (GMV) of more than USD 5 billion, about 80 million downloads, and over 180 million active listings by more than 4 million sellers, which includes around 5,000 leading brands and distributo­rs. In line with its growth, the Shopee team has expanded to a total of over 2,500 employees across its seven markets. “Shopee has undergone tremendous transforma­tion since we first launched, and while we are proud of all that we have achieved, this is only the beginning.
