MFI Polytechnic Institute promotes Technopreneurship in Free Seminar
With its dedication to deliver technical education, training, and encouraging entrepreneurship to students in its 44 years of existence, MFI Polytechnic Institute Inc. (formerly Meralco Foundation Inc.) conducted a free #Technopreneurtrip seminar last November 28 at the Assembly Hall of its Pasig campus in Ortigas. Aimed at educating the youth on how to kick-start and sustain a techrelated business, the seminar also showcased two of its entrepreneur alumnus—Carter Gasiong, Founder and General Manager of the Marikina-based Grüntechnology Corporation; and Glenn Ong Gatus, Founder and President of Malabon-based Gober Technologies Corporation—who served as the day’s speakers and shared their respective entrepreneurial journeys. MFI has passionately pursued, as part of its mission over the years to provide not only technologically skilled, job-ready graduates to the industry, but to enhance their capabilities to engage in entrepreneurial pursuits. The seminar hoped to inform and inspire the youth and other institutions of the same mission, especially high school students who are currently under or are interested to take the technicalvocational livelihood track (TVL). Over 180 attended the seminar, mostly senior high school students from the City of Mandaluyong Science High School, Sta. Lucia High School Pasig, Jose Fabella Memorial School, Andres Bonifacio Integrated School, Nagpayong High School, and Fort Bonifacio High School among others.
