Zark’s Burger-Lyceum hardly broke a sweat as it hammered Batangas-EAC, 112-75, Tuesday in the 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup at Pasig Sports Center.

Mike Nzeusseu and Jaycee Marcelino kickstarted the blowout as the Jawbreakers took a 48-33 halftime lead and cruised to the easy victory to bounce back from their 92-94 defeat to Marinerong Pilipino on opening day.

For coach Topex Robinson, it was a matter of the Zark’s Burger-Lyceum finally understanding the grind in the developmental league, saying, “We have adjusted to everything, from the calls to the teams we’re playing with.”

CJ Perez topped the Jawbreakers with 21 points and 10 rebounds, while MJ Ayaay also corralled a double-double with 15 markers, 10 boards, and three assists.

Nzeusseu scattered 14 points, 11 rebounds, and two assists, while Marcelino got eight of his 12 markers in the first half assault.

Giving the public a glimpse of what the future holds for the Knights in the NCAA, Wangs Basketball-Letran easily dispatched AMA Online Education, 93-75, in the other game.

Bong Quinto led the balanced attack for the Couriers with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists, while Bonbon Batiller got 15 points, five boards, and three dimes.

Michael Cañete held the fort for the Titans with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
