A choice of small wallets to fit your style

- RIARECOMMENDS.COM RIA FRANCISCO-PRIETO

Recently, I’ve taken a liking to small wallets. In case you find yourself bringing many cards, you might want to have a small wallet.

For me, a small wallet, which serves as a cardholder, is more than just an accessory. The convenience it offers allows me to put in the following: IDs, cash, business cards and ATM cards. Anything else like receipts and tickets can be put elsewhere.

Since my wallet can’t hold anything more than I need, I don’t end up with a bunch of receipts long forgotten every month or so. A small wallet streamlines your life instantly.

It also helps when you’re always on the go. Since I like to pack light, I carry just a small bag and a tiny wallet. I could list down more advantages of a small wallet, but here are a few recommendations so you can try it out.

Right now, I carry a small leather zip from Paul Smith. It’s flat and without the unnecessary flaps. I can easily see what I need. It can’t carry more than what you will possibly need, so it will never be bulky.

Before this one, I had the Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Nappa mini wallet. I would put all my cash in one side and my business cards in the other. I didn’t need to go on an impromptu hunt among slots when I need to buy something.

They come in a variety of colors so you can get one that suits your style. The name refers to the leather from which the wallet was made. Intrecciato Nappa leather looks better as it ages.

Zip-around

Another one I like is the Fendi Bag Bugs zip-around leather wallet. This is ideal if you have to bring coins. The design serves as a fun accessory in your bag. It has the signature Fendi bug embellishment, while the inside has multiple compartments so you can sort your cards.

Similar to this is the Anya Hindmarch smiley zip-around. The pop of pink makes it easy to spot in case you misplace it. It also has a bigger bill holder along with card slots.

For something that would fit a tiny bag, the Valextra contrast-edge grained leather coin purse is also a good option. It has no unnecessary elements.

If you’re not into so much color, you can opt for the Stella McCartney Falabella coin pouch. I love the silver-chain trim of this wallet. It has a pouch for coins while the top side has slots for cards. It’s good to take around for a night out.

If you want to have a small wallet for convenience, I’m sure any of the aforementioned types fits the bill.

You’ll see all the things you carry around and be surprised about what you’ll find. Consider it a small exercise in decluttering. Once you cut out what’s not needed, a small wallet will make sure you never lose sight of what’s important.
