Savoury Dim Sum Delights at Marco Polo Ortigas Manila’s Lung Hin

-

Cantonese cuisine will never be complete without a serving of assorted delicacies and dim sum. Marco Polo Ortigas Manila’s Lung Hin is showcasing varieties of authentic steamed and deep-fried dishes for special lunch set menus.

Dim sum traces its origin from teahouses that provided refreshments to travellers along the Silk Road. The Chinese cuisine was served as comfort food in the afternoon along with relaxing tea and enjoyed over good conversation. This was also served even as early as six in the morning and enjoyed by a gathering of friends. Since ancient times, dim sum has been a great part of the Chinese culture.

As Lung Hin features authentic Cantonese dishes, it also takes pride in the dim sum offerings that it serves, expertly prepared by dim sum master chef Wong Chiu Lung. A Hong Kong native, Chef Wong has practised authentic dim sum cooking in Hong Kong, where it is believed the best dim sum comes from.

Enjoy steamed dim sum combinations—Vegetarian Dumpling, Pork Siu Mau with Trauffle Sauce, and Shrimp Dumplings with Gold Leaf—to- gether with flavourful Roasted Pork Belly, Baked Barbecue Pork Buns, and Hong Kong Satin Chicken Congee, all for Set Lunch A.

Fried dishes such as DeepFried Bean Curd Skin Rolls with Prawn, Deep-Fried Hong Kong Pigeon, Wok-Fried Rice Roll with Fresh Shrimps and Shredded Chicken can also be enjoyed for Set Lunch B, with the steamed favourites, Pork Spare Ribs with Garlic, and Mushroom Buns.

Experience authentic Cantonese dim sum dining at Lung Hin for the Set Lunch from March 8 to April 31, 2018. Lung Hin is located at the Level 44 of Marco Polo Ortigas Manila, a two-time five-star award winner of Forbes Travel Guide. To know more about the hotel, visit www.marcopolohotels.com.
