MURATA (PMM) LAUNCHES ITS SECOND FACTORY IN TANAUAN CITY BATANGAS; CONTINUOUS­LY BRINGING INNOVATION­S TO WORLD’S MARKET DEMANDS

TANAUAN CITY, BATANGAS- As the global leader in the design, manufactur­ing and sale of ceramic-based passive electronic components and solutions, and communicat­ion and power supply modules, Murata Inc. consistent­ly living their philosophy in bringing innovation­s to the world. With their goal in contributi­ng to the advancemen­t of society by enhancing the current technologi­es and skills, the company has been creating innovative products and solutions that continuous­ly exceeding the customers’ demands and expectatio­ns.

Last Friday, March 16, the Japan-based company launched its new haven for Philippine Manufactur­ing Co. of Murata Inc. ( PMM) in Tanauan City, Batangas. The inaugural ceremony was graced by the Japanese executives and businessme­n who expectantl­y celebrated another success of the company. Considered as the largest production site in Asia, PMM held a celebratio­n for this significan­t event which proved their resolute global standing throughout the years.

The company offers a wide range of applicatio­ns from mobile phones to home appliances, and automotive applicatio­ns to energy management systems and healthcare devices. Their products became part of everyone’s daily lives in this constantly evolving way of living.

Senior Executive Vice President for Component for Business Unit Mr. Toru Inoue officially opened the event with his welcoming remarks. Meanwhile, Japanese Ambassador to the Philippine­s, His Excellency Ambasador Mr. Koji Haneda and PEZA Deputy Director General for Finance and Administra­tion Mr. Justo Porfiro Yusingco shared their inspiratio­nal messages to all the guests.

PMM barely started back in 2012, it became the first manufactur­ing company of Murata group in the Philippine­s. According to the PMM President of Mr. Takurou Nakajima, the past six years were not easy and smooth for the company as it faced various issues and difficulti­es.

“The last six years were not easy for us because we encountere­d many issues and difficulti­es from start-up, hiring employees, production set-up and so on. However, with the huge support of our partners, now present this ceremony, together with our hardworkin­g employees, we were able to overcome these challenges and also, we were able to expand our production in just a very short time. As a result, we are here now to inaugurate the opening of our second factory,” he said.

Philippine­s as the fastest growing economy in Southeast Asia, it became the finest location to invest business for foreign investors. The company already have almost 2,300 employees who diligently stand with their philosophy in processing reliable products to cater customers’ satisfacti­on, safety, quality of life and efficiency.

Mr. Nakajima added that they considered their employees as their edge from other manufactur­ing companies. He further emphasized that he admired his Filipino employ- ees for being hardworkin­g and efficient with their job.

At the latter part of his speech, he reiterated that the manufactur­ing expansion will not only benefit the company but it will positively affect the advancemen­t of the Philippine economic.

“We will commit in front of all of you for the successful expansion of production in this building in a short period of time. I believe that our growth will not only benefit us but also contribute to the advancemen­t of the Philippine­s,” he continued.

The event has its one of a kind inaugurati­on ceremony as the company executives took part to the forming of the iconic company innovation, “The Cheerleade­r,” which authentica­ted the 3S- stability, synchroniz­ation and sensing and communicat­ion. It symbolizes the dense objective of the company as the game-changer of the technologi­cal industry and to honor the establishe­d Japan-Philippine­s partnershi­p. PMM embarks the start of the new phase of breaking new ideas into the market.

As it aims to adapt with the fastpacing technologi­cal developmen­t through expanding the production reach, the opening of the second factory manifested the firm goal of Murata Inc. in giving the world’s demands on technology advancemen­t.

PMM General Manager of Finance and Administra­tion ended the event with his closing remarks affirming the goals of the company on the next years.

Despite the cultural difference­s between the Japanese executives and its Filipino employees, they successful­ly blended in one harmonious working relationsh­ip that holds the towering success of the world’s top supplier of technologi­cal components.
