HOW MOTHERHOOD TURNS YOU INTO A Disney Princess

Here’s a humorous look at how a mom’s life mirrors the stuff that dreams are made of.

We’ve all sighed over our favorite princesses being whisked off to their happily ever-afters in a grand castle by the handsome Prince Charming. Then, we go back to face the dullness and drudgery that our real, ordinary lives can bring. Well, that is not necessarily true, because all moms are princesses in our own ways. Here’s proof:

Cinderella: We are at the beck and call of our kids, every minute of the day. We also have a midnight curfew on our “gimiks,” because we need to wake up early the next day and there is no room in our lives for a hangover. Snow White: We are forever picking up after tiny people and have to constantly remind them to wash their hands before dinner. Aurora (Sleeping Beauty): Don’t we all wish that we can lock ourselves up in a tower and just sleep?

Ariel: We lose our voices, from nagging the kids to clean their rooms.

Tiana: Our “Prince” doesn’t really like to help in the kitchen, but boy does he love to eat.

Jasmine: Every time you go for a night-out with the girls, it has to be a covert mission from the kids.

Mulan: Career-wise, we are living in a man’s world, so we buckle up and get ready to prove ourselves time and time again in the workplace.

Belle: We spend so much time in the kitchen, the appliances and utensils start talking to us. But really, all we want to do is to sit down in a quiet spot and read a book.

Rapunzel: Because who has the time to go to the salon?

It may not exactly be a fairytale existence, but let us be comforted by the fact that we can proudly wear our crowns at home and are adored by our loyal subjects. Happy Mother’s Day!
