Perfect time to say it

Ilove to hear a child saying “Mama.” It reminds me of how blessed I amto have mymother beside me.

A mother is the best thing that happens to every child. Whether son or daughter, you will not fear life for you have someone who is better equipped than a 24/7 convenience store to provide priceless comfort. She’s a person you can lean on, a best friend you can trust and whose shoulder you can cry on. Sometimes you choose to conceal your personal life from her. Maybe you are afraid she will laugh or get madif she finds out that you have a crush on, or are in love with, someone. But mind you, once you confess everything to her, she will cheer you up and guide you on how to deal with “heart” matters. Because for her, you really matter. When trials come your way and you are feeling down, she is there, your superhero, and she will pick you up and give you courage to keep on. She’s a person who motivates you to attain all your aspirations in life. That’s the very reason she never ceases to encourage you to go to school: to prepare yourself for the future.

When you are exhausted or sick, she is always there as your pillar. Yes, even when she feels unwell herself, though she never expresses her fatigue. She will show you the beauty of life and make you understand that amid the rain, there will always be the sun that carries hope. The warmth of her hug is one of the best remedies for your heartaches.

Your mother recognizes and appreciates your hard work in school or at work. Indeed, she is the person from whom you do not need to beg for appreciation; she gives it to you wholeheartedly. Moreover, she doesn’t stint in her advice when you’re getting confused about life. She has long been in this arena, and is the best person to give you enlightenment. And she doesn’t fail to let you feel that you are loved. But have you told her lately that you love her? You better do so now—it’s the perfect time. There are actually many ways to show how much she means to you—through not just words but also actions. These actions do not need rehearsing. She knows you, after all, and understands your simplest gesture.

Ourmother deserves all our gratitude, care, time and love. Today, let’s tell her: Ma, I love you.
