The Corner Market—first indoor farmer’s market with food hall
The Corner Market, the country’s first-ever indoor farmer’s market and food hall, is now open on the second level of The Podium. Inspired by La Boqueria in Barcelona, the Torvehallerne Market in Copenhagen and the Queen Victoria Market in Melbourne, the space spans 1,200 square meters, with 17 different merchants and a dining area that can accommodate 450 people.
Foodies will be delighted with The Corner Market’s Catch of the Day by Cold Storage, and The Meat Depot, where customers can choose their own seafood or meat cut and have it cooked on the spot.
Fresh produce, flowers and graband-go salad are available at Gusto, where everything is sourced from the Ojedas’ family farm in Rizal.
The curated mix includes local, emerging brands and one-of-a-kind concepts. These include Sari Salo by Myron with homegrown hits such as
inasal sisig and Angus beef tapa, and Inari by Hamaru’s modern Japanese cuisine.
Ca Phe Saigon has heirloom Vietnamese recipes and a vertical basil garden where you can pick your leaves for your pho.
Char Express has Chinese comfort food favorites and the popular char siu in town; Easy Tiger has authentic Thai ingredients; Little Kaya has the favorite dolsot bibimbap.
There are authentic Mexican tacos at La Taqueria del Chupacabra; Sultan’s menu of shawarma, kebabs and
moussaka; the famous salted egg lava chicken sandwich at Birdhouse.
Pizza Morena has signature mozzarella, mascarpone and Parmesan pie; Barcelon de Calderon has personalsized paellas.
For coffee and dessert, Stockwell Café + Lounge’s third-wave coffee will pair well with The Rabbit Hole MNL’s pastries and cakes like the best-selling ube frozen brazo. Sundays by Merry Moo has yummy soft-serve ice cream in handmade, fla- vored waffle cones.
At The Corner Market you can have a complete meal for less than P300. Corner Market’s bleacher seats offer a view of bustling Ortigas.
