Mitsubishi Motors donates e-vehicles, quick charging station to DTI

-

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) announced that it has turned over one (1) Outlander PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle), one (1) iMiEV electric vehicle, and an electric vehicle quick charging station to the Department Trade and Industry (DTI) in Makati City.

Gracing the turnover ceremony were DTI Secretary Ramon Lopez, Undersecretary Rowel Barba, Undersecretary Ceferino Rodolfo, Assistant Secretary Rafaelita Aldaba and Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) President and CEO Mutsuhiro Oshikiri.

In his message, MMPC President and CEO Mutsuhiro Oshikiri said, “We are again honored to turn over our very own Outlander PHEV, i-MiEV and EV Quick Charging Station to another Philippine government agency, this time, to the Department of Trade and Industry. We firmly believe that these units and quick charging station, with the assistance of our friends from DTI, will further encourage the public to consider using electric vehicles.”

It can be recalled that earlier this year, MMC also turned over the same units and unveiled the EV Quick Charging Station at DENR’s Regional Office in Davao City and at its Central Office in Quezon City.

The deliveries form part of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in February 2017 between MMC and DENR regarding a joint study into environmental load reduction using electric technologies used in two of MMC’s environment-friendly models, the Outlander PHEV and i-MiEV.
