Kidnappers of family demanding P400,000 in ransom

The kidnappers of a family of six are demanding a P400,000 ransom, according to a local official of the town where the family lived. PO3 Rashid Rivera, of the police station in Sirawai town, Zamboanga del Norte, cited the town vice mayor, Jaime Ferlizarta, as saying he got a call from a certain Abu who said the six family members were in the hands of kidnappers who wanted P400,000 in ransom. The kidnapped family members were Feliciano Javier, 28, his wife Elsa, 28, and their sons Vincent, 5 months old, Junior Javier, 22, Junior’s wife, Rica, and their 5year-old son. They lived in a farm as caretakers for the farm owner, a municipal engineer in Pagadian City. Police were already convening the town’s crisis committee.
