CAMP AGUINALDO LADIES DOMINATE WGAP CIRCUIT THIRD LEG
Camp Aguinaldo Golf Club turned in a superb outing in all fronts and dominated the third leg of the 2018 Women's Golf Association of the Philippines (WGAP) Circuit, posting a victory and two runner-up finishes to close in on leader Villamor at Valley Golf Club’s South course in Antipolo recently.
The Agui ladies pulled through in a tight Class A battle, pooling 128 points to edge Villamor by two.
Forest Hills placed third at 124, Alabang was fourth with 120 and Tagaytay Highlands fifth with a 119 total.
Ruby Hamis fired 36 points under the Stableford scoring system while Matet Salivio, Ma- bel Salivio and Vangie Omlang backed her up with 32, 31 and 29, respectively, to power CAGC.
With runner-up efforts in Classes B and C, CAGC racked up seven points and moved to within one of Villamor, 12-13, in the overall race as the two teams started pulling away in the 12-team field featuring leading female golfers from the country’s top courses.
Forest Hills took the Class B diadem with 141.
