CHILDREN’S BOOK ‘AKLATANG PUSA’ TO BE LAUNCHED JULY 7
The Center for Art, New Ventures, and Sustainable Development (Canvas) will hold “The Author’s Hour,” the launch of Eugene Evasco’s new children’s book, “Ang Aklatang Pusa,” on July 7, 10 a.m., at the ground floor of Vargas Museum, University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City.
“Ang Aklatang Pusa” is the heartwarming story of a retired librarian who, instead of collecting and cataloguing books, collects cats.
The book is the winning story of the 12th Romeo Forbes Story Writing Competition.
“Author’s Hour” will have a reading of the book and the author explaining the creative process that went into his winning story.
Also included will be short talks about cats: how having them as pets could relieve one’s stress and how to take the perfect picture of one’s “purry” friend to “cattify” one’s social media.
“The Author’s Hour” is part of “Tumba-Tumba Children’s Museum of Philippine Art: A Proof of Concept Exhibit.” The exhibit is copresented by UP Vargas Museum, and with support of Panta Rhea Foundation and Blanc Gallery.
