The one-stop shop for all your travel needs
Travelling to your dream destination is now within reach—or just an exhibit away.
The most anticipated travel fair of the year, famous for its bargain offerings and best deals in town, is back and has more hard-to-resist great offers, providing you with an opportunity to afford that dream travel either for a solo trip or for the whole family or barkada.
Travel Madness Expo (TME) 2018, considered as the biggest travel and tourism exhibition scheduled in the latter part of the year, returns for its 7th run at the SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City, on July 6 to 9.
The travel trade fair features more than 160 exhibitors from different companies in the travel and tourism industry.
Here, you can enjoy the best offers and the best deals in town from local and interna- tional airlines, big travel agencies, top hotels and resorts, theme parks and cruise companies, national tourism organizations, as well as retailers and global
service providers. Originally designed to encourage people to travel during the lean months of travelling season to make tourism a yearround affair, the TME has grown into a one-stop shop where visitors could find not only the best travel deals, airfare and accommodations, but great offerings from cruise line companies, travel agencies and tour operators, local and abroad.
Since its first staging in 2012, the expo has evolved into an international event for travel promos and packages that feature discounts and rock-bottom prices even for the peak season and throughout the year.
According to Maria Paz Alberto of Travel Innovators Inc. (TII), the organizer of the three-day event, TME is the only travel fair happening in the middle of the year and it has evolved into an anticipated event as evidenced by the big turnout of people who go there every year.
With its mid-year schedule, the TME makes it ideal for everyone to shop around for travel bargains in preparation for their upcoming holiday vacation or break from school or work.
“Every year that we hold the Travel Madness, it has become bigger and better. As early as 6 a.m., people are already lining up outside the venue. They want to make sure they’re the first to have access to all the best deals once the exhibit doors open.”
“The Travel Madness Expo 2018 continues to offer amazing deals for those who want to travel and find new destinations. Visit the expo and take advantage of surprising deals, big discounts and competitive prices offered by participating exhibitors. This expo is the onestop shop you’ve been looking for,” says TII president and event organizer Raymond Tee.
Best deals include significant price discounts to airfares offered by airline companies, whose number have significantly increased in the expo, providing trade visitors with more flight destinations to choose from.
On July 5, the TME 2018 shall have an exclusive opening for BPI cardholders, who may avail of amazing deals using their BPI Credit Card.
Trade visitors can get FREE flights in the form of AirAsia BIG Points, for a minimum single receipt straight purchase of P30,000 using their BPI Credit Card.
For the entire run of the TME on July 6 to 8, customers will have a chance to win free flights in the form of AirAsia BIG Points or BPI freebies, for a minimum single receipt straight purchase of P10,000, using their BPI Credit or Prepaid Card.
Customers who will purchase any international ticket using their BPI Credit Card are entitled to a Special FOREX rate coupon from BPI to buy US Dollar notes and other foreign currencies for their pocket money requirements.
Aside from offers that provide the best value for money, the TME 2018 provides visitors with the most comprehensive overview of the entire travel and leisure market. Here, people looking for the best offers can review their options, compare prices and itineraries, choose from thousands of new products and services.
Travel expo visitors can also purchase from exhibiting travel agencies the same rate offered by airline exhibitors at no added cost.
The TME 2018 will occupy halls 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the SMX Convention Center and exhibitors are grouped according to zones—Star, Sky, Style, Ship and Shop zones. The zones are color-coded and include each sector of the tourism industry in a cluster, making it easy for visitors to find the appropriate service providers for their respective needs.
The Sky Zone features domestic and international airlines. The Star Zone has all the travel agencies and tour operators, local and international, huddled together. The Style Zone is where you can find hotels and resorts, which range from three-stars to five-stars. The Ship Zone features cruise line companies that have made cruising popular among the luxurious set of travelers.
Booths representing national tourist organizations of various countries are also present to provide visitors insights into the cultural and historical attractions of the particular destinations abroad.
Banks and credit card companies also have booths to help visitors facilitate their travel purchases.
TME 2018 is organized by TII with the support of major sponsors which include Philippine Airlines (PAL), BPI CARD, PLDT Enterprise, SMX Convention Center, Philippine Star, Duty Free Philippines, Travel Now, Expat, and SABRE.
