According to the latest road crash statistics report of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, there were 2,304 public utility jeepneys that were involved in road crashes in the National Capital Region from January to April 2018. Of the total, six incidents resulted in deaths, 411 caused nonfatal injuries, while 1,887 resulted in damage to property.
