Breguet’s new Classique watches
Breguet shows off two classical variants from the Classique collection that Breguet says it exemplifies its watchmaking ideals of precision, clarity and elegant lines. Whether in extra-thin models or complicated watches, they are all true to the technical principles, the artistry and the traditional values of a Breguet watch.
Breguet Classique 5177
Encased in 18K rose gold with delicately fluted caseband, this Breguet Classique with Ref. 5177BR/29/9V6 uses a sapphire crystal caseback exposing its exquisite movement. It has a delightfully clean “gran feu” enamel dial comes signed with the traditional Breguet logo and tasteful variation to the classical features of the collection.
The hour chapter is designed with Arabic numerals and comes with a center seconds hand and a unique trapezoidal date aperture at the 3 o’clock position. Its opentipped Breguet hands in blue steel further adds to its classical and traditional elegance. The leather strap is held by welded lugs secured with screw bars, this 38 mm diameter watch is water-resistant up to 3 bar (about 30 meters).
The 26 jewel Calibre 777Q selfwinding movement is numbered and signed Breguet and has a 55-hour power reserve. Driven by an18K gold oscillating weight and is hand-engraved on a rose engine. Stop seconds. 12 lignes. 26 jewels. Cal. 777Q. Like in most new Breguet movements, its escape wheel and lever are now made with silicon.
Breguet Classique Phase De Lune Dame 9087
This classic ladies’ Breguet Classique Phase De Lune Dame 9087 with Ref. 9087BR/29/964 is encased in 18- carat 30mm diameter rose gold case and also with a delicately fluted caseband and welded lugs with screw bars that is also water-resistant to 3 bar (30meters).
Just like the Classique 5177, the dial individually numbered and signed Breguet with its hours chapter marked with Roman numerals. The moon-age and -phase indicator fitted well with the small seconds at 6 o’clock, allowing a very clean and organized facial layout. It also uses Breguet open-tipped hands in blued steel. It is powered by a Calibre 537L 26 jewel self-winding movement also numbered and signed Breguet. Its smaller-sized movement has a capacity of 45 hours power reserve.
