Today, July 16, is the 14th birth anniversary of Carmen de Luna, one of the founders and the second president of Centro Escolar University. The university was established by De Luna and Librada Avelino on June 3, 1907. At present, it offers over 50 academic programs and has three campuses in the country, two of them located in Manila and Makati City.
