LANDBANK BAGS 3 AWARDS AT THE 16TH PHILIPPINE QUILL AWARDS
LANDBANK recently bagged two Awards of Excellence and a Merit Award at the Philippine Quill Awards 2018 conferred by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) in a ceremony held at the Manila Marriott Hotel.
The LANDBANK VOLUNTEERific Program won an Award of Excellence under the Communication Management Division, in the Community Relations Category. Institutionalized in August 2016, the LANDBANK VOLUNTEERific Program is a unique initiative of the Bank to encourage its more than 9,000 employees to conduct volunteerism activities. At the end of its first year of implementation, the program has engaged over 70% of the Bank’s population or over 6,376 volunteer employees to participate whom each rendered with an average of 10.62 volunteerific hours.
The LANDBANK Financial Inclusion Caravan also won an Award of Excellence in the Communications Management Division under the Community Relations category. Now on its second year, the nationwide caravan entitled “Ipon at Kabuhayan para sa mga Kababayan,” was recognized for promoting financial literacy in various 4th to 6th class municipalities across the country. The second series of the caravan, which ran from September 2017 to March 2018, drew nearly 4,000 attendees from eight to fifth-class municipalities nationwide. Of all the participants, over 78% or 2,488 became banked individuals after opening a savings account for the first time during the event.
Meanwhile, the LANDBANK 2017 Wall and Desk Calendars bagged an award of Merit under the Communication Skills Division, in the Publications Category. Entitled, “Waters of Life and Lore,” the Bank’s 2017 calendar is a tribute to the interwoven folklore about mythical creatures whose origins form part of the proud identities of the Filipino people.
