NREA MID-YEAR MEET, BDAY BASH, MARRIOTT HOTEL MLA, JULY 31

The National Real Estate Association (NREA)is holding its traditional Mid-Year General Membership Meeting on July 31, 2018 (Tues.),starting 6:00 pm at the famous Marriott Hotel Manila.

Ms. Marissa del Mar, NREA Board Chairlady and Event Chair, said that the occasion coincides also with the birthday celebration of NREA Founding Chairman. and current Chairman Emeritus, Jose “Ka Pepe” V. Manalad, who is considered as the “Living Icon” of Philippine real estate, who had served and steered the major private real estate groups prior to founding and leading NREA to the present.

Also, she expects NREA friends and industry leaders from both the government and private sectors to greet and pay homage to the NREA Chairman Emeritus and birthday celebrator.

For his part, NREA President Benigno T. Cabrieto, Jr., announced that for the business portion, invited guests are Atty. Falconi V. Millar, CPA and Secretary General of the Housing and Urban Develop- ment Coordinating Council (HUDCC), who is expected to talk on the implementation of the new socialized housing price ceilings, and on new HUDCC programs and policies.

Also invited speaker is renowned Political Economist Calixto V. Chikiamco, President of the Foundation for Economic Freedom, who will review the effects of TRAIN 1, and proposed TRAIN 2 bills, on the economy, particularly on housing and property sector.
