- SOURCE: MMDA/PROJECT NOAH/INQUIRER RESEARCH

And the list keeps growing every day.

When before they only had Espana Boulevard to worry about when the rainy season comes, a lot of motorists have added more and more areas of concern for flooding in Metro Manila. The misery that the recent

habagat brought to Metro Manila recalled images of the young lawyer-to-be who drove his car through waisthigh flood, then uttered "I wasn't informed" of the flood. This made him an Internet celebrity for the wrong reason. Another case was the Land Rover Defender that got stuck on Araneta Ave.

Stalled vehicles, of course, are a common sight during heavy flooding, and it's only in the Philippines where this road misery becomes a source of income for people who prey on the unlucky drivers by offering their services for a fee.
