ACHIEVING SUSTAINABILITY IN THIS AGE OF CHANGE AND UNCERTAINTY

The Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) is inviting professionals to the upcoming AYALA-FINEX Finance Summit entitled "Achieving Sustainability in this Age of Change and Uncertainty". This event, co-organized by the Professional Development Committee of FINEX and Ayala Corporation, is on 15 August 2018 at the Fairmont Hotel, Makati City from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m. The forum will feature guest speakers from different sectors and disciplines to further enhance the understanding and provide practical application of sustainability in today's ever-changing business climate.

Sustainability has always been connected to movements such as green energy, organic living, and natural existence. However, sustainability also is very much a pressing concern for today's business environment where changes in the way business is done have direct impact on organizations. The topics in this forum would touch on diverse subject matters on sustainability affecting businesses today such as energy, employment, and technology.

Mr. Ahsan Mehmood, Associ- ate Director for Data and Analytics, Advisory Team of KPMG Australia will speak on the recent technological trends in the market and how the treatment and analysis of data today has been helping businesses become sustainable in the digital age. He will further illustrate how the analysis of large amounts of data has changed how companies have reacted and have addressed business concerns into successful endeavors.

The second speaker is Mr. Lye King Tho, Watson Data and AI Leader of IBM Watson and Cloud Platform ASEAN, who will delve into the topic of the changing platform of technology and how this can assist in the sustainability of organizations. Hewill discuss how the various technology tools of today can be integrated to accelerate the shift of organizations into more technology driven platforms and keep up with competition.

The third speaker is Mr. Yongping Zhai, Chief of the Energy Sector group of the ADB. Mr. Zhai will elaborate on the role of power generation in providing sustainable energy to industries. He will speak on the ADB's role in ensur- ing continued progress throughout the region and how sustainable, efficient, and environmentally-friendly power can be achieved.

The final speaker is Mr. Yu Ming Chin, Executive Director of Viventis Search Asia, one of the leading global executive search companies. Mr. Chin will provide insights into the fast paced nature of today's jobseekers as well as the factors affecting companies in searching and attracting the right talent for their business requirements. Being able to properly identify the right people is one of the key factors in the sustainable growth of any organization.
