5-DAY INT’L. PROPERTY COURSE OPENS MONDAY, SEPT. 10
The Certified International Property Specialist Institute, known worldwide as the CIPS brand, will be offered for the fifth time in Manila from September 10 up to 14, 2018 at the Metropolitan Club, Rockwell Center, Makati City.
Themed “Capture the Global Market,” the 5-day course is licensed by the Chicago-based National Association of REALTORS ® (NAR) -the largest real estate association with over 1.1 million members worldwide -- and hosted by the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders’ Associations, Inc. (CREBA), NAR’s exclusive cooperating association in the Philippines.
CIPS course instructor is David E. Wyant from Orlando, Florida whose professional career in real estate and education spans 40 years.
The intensive curriculum highlights international real estate trends and transactions, regionspecific laws including currency and exchange rate issues, cross-cultural relationships, and an actual feel of inter-continental market conditions and investment performances in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Oceania.
CREBA national president Noel Toti M. Cariño encourages Filipino real estate professionals to be part of the elite CIPS designees group which exists in 45 countries around the world so they can benefit from the growing cross-border influences in real estate markets.
“The ability to assist global clients with strong referral introductions depends heavily upon your professional networking efforts—both in personal connections you’ve already established and your ability to quickly identify other top-notch resources,” he said.
CREBA national chairman Charlie A. V. Gorayeb affirmed that “applying a ‘no borders’ mindset expands opportunities with buyers and sellers around the world exponentially, knocking down every conceivable barrier.”
“Global real estate opportunities are everywhere. Investors in your current market may look to invest in property overseas. No matter which audience you cater to, the CIPS designation will provide the knowledge, research, network and tools to globalize and expand your business,” he stated. Gorayeb served as NAR’s international director in 2016.
The right to use the Realtor brand name and logo in the Philippines is exclusive to PRC-licensed real estate professionals who apply and remain as active card-bearing International Realtor Members or IRMs admitted by NAR through CREBA.
From September 9-14 this year, the Chamber is heading a delegation to the International Real Estate Conference (IREC) in Hanoi, Vietnam.
