MEGAWORLD STAYS AHEAD OF THE PACK WITH ‘HALL OF FAME’ WIN FROM FIABCI
Property giant Megaworld Corp. continued its winning ways this year, running away as the most awarded real estate company with a total of 10 awards at the 2018 Property and Real Estate Excellence Awards organized by the International Real Estate Federation of the Philippines (FIABCI-Philippines).
Megaworld punctuated its industry dominance with the first-ever Hall of Fame for “Outstanding Developer of the Year,” following three straight years of being named the best developer since 2015. Likewise, Megaworld chairman Dr. Andrew L. Tan was also awarded the coveted Hall of Fame award for “Property Man of the Year” after receiving such award for three consecutive years. These recognitions were handed out by FIABCI-Philippines for the first time in its history.
As if these top-notch distinctions were not enough, Megaworld subsidiary Global-Estate Resorts Inc. (GERI) was also awarded this year’s “Best Developer of the Year” recognition.
“As we embark on more nation-building endeavors to bring our visions to fruition, we will continue to use these recogni- tions as motivations to develop communities that will become catalysts of growth and progress across the country,” said Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso, chief operating officer of Megaworld.
The company also won the following recognitions: Gold Awards for The Mactan Newtown (Masterplan Category), Maple Grove (Sustainable Development), Twin Lakes (Resort Category), Southwoods Office Towers (Office Development Category), and Suntrust Ecotown (Industrial Category) for its wholly-owned subsidiary, Suntrust Properties, Inc. The company also got Silver Awards for The Albany (Residential High-Rise Category) and Festive Walk Mall (Retail Category).
Megaworld continues to march on as it celebrates 30 years in the industry by 2019, racking up milestones after milestones with more than 200 awards from various international and local award-giving organizations.
These distinctions have strengthened the company’s reputation as a giant in the industry and an undisputed leader in turning hectares of land into township developments and sustainable communities.
