A HOME FOR EVERY FILIPINO:
Building Homes, Building Communities, Building Lives
The annual CREBA national convention held every October, declared by government as the “National Housing Month,” fosters fellowship and networking among industry stakeholders, generates business interaction and discusses workable measures to address the country’s major housing concerns.
In celebration of CREBA’s 45th founding anniversary, the convention theme embodies CREBA’s FIVE-POINT AGENDA FOR HOUSING, the centerpiece of its relentless advocacy in ensuring that ev- ery Filipino is able to live a full and happy life, in a home he can call his own.
For truly, real estate and housing is an industry that has both a private and public face. On one hand, real estate developers are engaged in a business enterprise. On the other hand, building homes and structures have tremendous impact on the nation’s social and economic development.
CREBA’s 5-Point Agenda aims to intensify housing production to the level of 500,000 units per year for the next 2 decades, by providing long-term and affordable funds for socialized and economic housing; affordable homes in urban areas nationwide; equitable allocation of lands for human settlements, agriculture and the environment; efficient housing regulations; and creating a housing and urban development department to provide housing concerns the attention it deserves at the highest level of government.
In doing so, the three major issues of Finance, Land and Governance need to be cohesively addressed to curb the country's at least 5.7 million housing backlog that still continues to grow.
The National Convention has been known for its unprecedented initiatives in support of national housing and development goals. The event also beams with excellent opportunities in the framework of private sector and government cooperation.
In this premiere event, industry players will converge to plan, work and collaborate on issues that directly and indirectly impact the real estate and housing development business.
