SHANGRI-LA PLAZA FOOD FEST RUNS TILL OCT. 21; DINING PROMO TILL NOV. 18
Shangri-La Plaza remains a favorite mall of people who like its relaxing vibe—spacious, well-designed, no big crowds.
At the recent media launch of a food event, GourmetFest, mall guests sampled dishes from 23 featured restaurants.
GourmetFest runs until Oct. 21 at the mall’s grand atrium.
There are live food presentations and workshops by some of the country’s best chefs. There are promos and deals offered by the participating restaurants.
“We’re delighted to host the GourmetFest once again,” says Shangri-La Plaza EVP and GM Lala Fojas. “We always look forward to gathering our roster of restaurants and showing mall guests that Shang is still the go-to destination for the best food in town.”
Among the featured restaurants serving traditional favorites and new flavors are Brotzeit and its German beers and Bavarian sausages; Pasto and its signature Italian dishes; Wobbly Pan’s tapas, paellas and other scrumptious dishes.
Balboa fuses American and Italian cuisines, and Pepi Cubano boasts its popular sandwiches.
For sweets, there’s Paper Moon and La Creperie—perfect with coffee from Figaro or Bo’s.
All-American comfort food options are Kettle, Epicurious and Tender Bob’s.
Japanese food connoisseurs can go to Akira and Sumo Sam, while Zao and its Vietnamese menu, Thai BBQ, and Pepper Lunch comprise the Asian offerings.
Completing the roster are Red Crab, Shi Lin, Ganso-Shabuway, Arya and California Pizza Kitchen.
At the center of the GourmetFest grounds are long, wooden benches with picnicstyle trestle tables.
There will also be a GourmetFest dining promo. A minimum spend of P500 until Nov. 18 is equivalent to a raffle coupon for a chance to win a trip for two to Singapore via Singapore Airlines.
